Our Story

A concept derived from an Indian - Pakistani - British who lives in Austrian scientist meeting a Burgenlandish, 7th Generation Winemaker to get some wedding wine.

Involving a 7th generation Weingut, a 50 year old food truck, lots of Austrian bureaucracy, an Austrian wife, some tractors and grandmother's recipes. Oh and also some spices paired with wine.

Weingut Nehrer’s wine is modern and fits very well with the concept of a fusion kitchen. Curries are basically Gulash but in different variations. So it is great that a curry can be created to go with the wine. A Sovignon Blanc goes well with Cardamom and Cinnamon so Tandoori Masala fits.

This concept then grew and here we are - in our wine tasting room with indoor heated seating and in the yard with outdoor seating for summer evenings we are open every Saturday from 12:00-20:00.

Monday to Thursday 1 of us is making wine and the other is a scientist in Vienna. But come the weekend (Friday inclusive) we do the fusion.

Since our opening we have had overwhelming requests for private wine and food tastings. These are mostly done on Thursdays and Fridays just drop by to say hello and we can arrange something.

Catering, weddings, firm parties all are welcome. Just let us know your requirements (we can even make space for a helicopter if you want).

P.S: Our curries are gluten free, we have nut free, lactose free too. We always have a chicken and a vegan option so everyone can enjoy our menu.
